Our Instructors  

Ritchie Yip. Head instructor and founder. In 2003, in a moment of foolishness, Ritchie dropped out of college to pursue his dream of teaching martial arts for a living.  Since then, InFighting Training Centres has grown to two facilities and has helped 1000's of people attain their health and fitness goals.

Tom Taylor.  Kickboxing and Strength & Conditioning coach. Tom is one of the most innovative instructors in the world with a massive instagram following.  Tom's classes are always super fun and challenging and will get you in shape in the shortest time possible.

Blair Turton. Brazilan Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing and Strength & Conditioning coach.  Blair is one of the most knowledgeable BJJ Black Belts around. His greatest gift as a coach is to make complex techniques seem simple. Blair's dry, witty sense of humour keeps everyone around laughing and smiling.

Gary Hsueh.  BJJ coach. Gary was one of the very first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts in Vancouver.  Gary is more than just a coach.  Gary is a mentor and a big brother to many of the students. You'll always see Gary helping out the beginners and showing them the best ways to perfect their techniques.

John Tompkins.  BJJ coach.  John is one of the most well respected Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts in Vancouver.  Also a full time Law Enforcement Officer, John only teaches the most effective and practical BJJ technique to our students. John's classes are some of the most popular BJJ classes in the city.

Zac Loftus.  BJJ coach.  Zac is highly prolific Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor.  As a coach, Zac helps students understand that hard work is the only way to reach your goals.  Always supportive and always smiling, Zac's teaching style is perfect for the absolute beginner.

Meego Yassin.  Strength & Conditioning Coach. Kickboxing coach.  Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach.  A lifelong martial artist and a personal trainer for over ten years, Meego is one of the most eclectic and experienced instructors in Vancouver.  Meego's classes are always fun and full of people laughing and high-fiving!

Ian Popoff. Kickboxing, Strength & Conditioning and BJJ coach.  Ian's classes are incredibly dynamic and action packed.  Ian always has a giant smile on his face and loves helping people learn martial arts and get in the best shape possible.

Owen Grant.  BJJ coach.  Owen is a walking encyclopedia of the best drills and techniques to get good at BJJ fast.  Also a professional RMT, Owen's classes are always focused on safety and keeping everyone injury free.

Michael Fu.  Strength & Conditioning coach and Kickboxing coach.  Michael is basically a gym scientist.  He specializes in helping his students get incredibly fast results.  And you always see crowds of students asking him for his advice at the end of class. Perfecting your Deadlift, learning the Kettlebell swing or mastering the Left Hook, Michael knows it all.

Lachlan McAdam. Kickboxing coach.  Lachlan has been Kickboxing since 2006.  You can feel his energy and love for life the moment you shake his hand.  Lachlan makes working out feel like you're just having fun with an old friend.
